Welcome to the site. I'm a would-be author so there has to be a site, everyone has a site, or an app or some sort of web presence.

This site is a handy place to write about the things I find out on the way to being neither rich nor famous. On the bright side though, as  long as my hands are not idle then I should stay out of trouble. If history is any indication of the future, this site will probably change a lot.

About Me

I come from England at a time when we did O'Levels at school and not GCSEs. I came incredibly close to failing my English language course, but life conspired to make me learn more about writing in general.

Sadly I wasn't good enough to play snooker for a living, so I became an office boy and other random stuff.

I never imagined being a sixty-something. When the time came, I  became that man who goes for walks, and mutters a lot. But it could be worse, apparently. It reminded me of Terry Pratchett's witches who started to cackle as they grew older. 

In a moment of madness I decided to write a novel based on an idea that made me smile. I fit it in along with maintaining the fabric of the house, keeping the hot tub controller working, hanging out at the climbing wall and rebuilding my knees. And going for walks.

It's a life. 😁
